Executive Analysis Status Dashboards

01 Aug Executive Analysis Status Dashboards

With your Epicor application, you receive several status dashboards that provide a wealth of information about the data in your database. These powerful tools are in the Executive Analysis section of Epicor.

Epicor adds to the power of these tools because it also comes with a right-click or search feature (the context menu) that allows you to easily navigate to other areas of the software. For example, the GL Transaction Detail Tracker is available by right clicking from transaction-related fields (invoice number, transaction number, Back Account ID). You can easily move from a quote, to order, and then to the resulting GL transactions.

Because you can’t add or edit records in the trackers, these tools are a way of making data available to those who need information at their fingertips without risking the integrity of that data.

Here is a brief summary of each executive status dashboard or tracker and the information they provide:

The Job Status Tracker displays information about job records in a dashboard format.

The Open DMR Action Status Tracker (released in 10.1) displays information about discrepant material report records in a dashboard format.

The Opportunity/Quote Status Tracker displays information about quote records in a dashboard format.

The Part On Hand Status Tracker displays information about part records in a dashboard format.

The PO Receipt Status Tracker displays information about purchase order receipt records in a dashboard format

The Job Status Tracker displays information about job records in a dashboard format. This includes job-related information such as links, assemblies, materials, and related labor transactions. This dashboard is based on data pulled from the Job Header table. The following sheets are available in this tracker: Jobs Not Firm, Jobs Not Releases, Jobs Active, Jobs Complete, Jobs Closed, Job Entry Job Details, Job Manager Demand, Assembly, Materials, Operations, Labor Transactions, and Part Transactions.

The Open DMR Action Status Tracker (released in 10.1) displays information about discrepant material report records in a dashboard format. Discrepant materials are part quantities that fail inspection. Employees use the discrepant material report (DMR) to determine how to handle these materials. The Open DMR Action Status dashboard organizes the DMRs. You can see a complete listing, or review a list of those that require supplier credit or a list of those for which a debit memo was requested. The following sheets are available in this tracker: Require Supplier Credit, Request Debit Memo, and All.

The Opportunity/Quote Status Tracker displays information about quote records in a dashboard format. It organized records by their due date and by their Quoted status. The following sheets are available in the Opportunity/Quote Status Tracker: Open, Quoted, Un-Quoted, Due, Due + One Week, Expected Close, Expected Close + One Week, Expires, Expires + One Week, Follow Up, and Follow Up +One Week. It contains advanced search filters for Quote Number, Customer, Customer Ship To, Territory, Due Date, Follow up Date, Expected Close Date, Expiration Date, Part Number, Customer Part number, Quote Stage, and Marketing Campaign.

The Part On Hand Status Tracker displays information about part records in a dashboard format. This includes information such as warehouse on hand, bin locations, and inspection information. Full inventory functionality is supported for quantity bearing parts only. Inventory on-hand balance is not maintained for parts that have been set up as non-quantity bearing parts in the Part master. A part becomes non-quantity bearing when the Quantity Bearing check box on its Part master is cleared. Sheets that display in this tracker include Part, Warehouse, Receipt Inspection, Nonconformance Inspection, and RMA Inspection. Advanced search filters include part number, part class, product group, part type, and stock type.

The PO Receipt Status Tracker displays information about purchase order receipt records in a dashboard format. This tracker includes information such as associated suppliers, quantities, prices, and packing slip numbers. You cannot add or edit records in this Tracker. The PO Receipt Status Tracker is based on the Receipt Line table. You can filter receipts by receipt dates of today, receipt dates of this week, or all receipts. Sheets that display in the PO Receipt Status Tracker include All, This Week, and Today.

The PO Status Tracker displays information about purchase order records. This includes information such as associated suppliers, quantities, prices, and inspection statuses. The PO Status Tracker is based on data within the PO Line table. Sheets that display in this tracker include: Unapproved, Open, Closed, All, PO Receipts – All, PO Receipts – Pending Inspection, PO Receipts – Received Not Invoiced, PO Receipts – Invoiced,  and AP Invoice Detail. Advanced search filters include supplier, PO, part number, supplier part, buyer, and order date.

The Sales Order Backlog Status Dashboard displays information about sales order release records. This includes information such as order releases, ship by dates, and selling quantities. It displays any release for an open sales order, showing you the quantity remaining to fill the order. It also displays the backlog value of the release quantities yet to be shipped. Sheets that display in this dashboard include Open Releases, This Week’s Releases, Next Week’s Releases, Late Releases, and Completed Releases. The advanced search contains filters for customer ID, customer name, ship date, order number, PO, part number, and customer part.

The Sales Order Shipment Status Dashboard displays information about the current status of all SO shipments. Each sheet organizes the shipments by a specific status; this lets you identify which shipments are pending, shipped, invoiced, or shipped, not invoiced. Unlike the Customer Shipment Tracker, this dashboard tracker displays shipping line information from multiple purchase orders and packing slips. This dashboard is also the quickest way to see items that are shipped, but not invoiced. The advanced search filters include customer ID, customer name, order number, ship date, part number, and customer part number.

The Sales Order Status Dashboard displays status information about both open and closed sales order release records, filtering the release by status. This dashboard filters the releases by status. You may view the releases that are due during the current week or the current month. This status is based on each release’s Ship By Date. All the shipping transactions linked to the releases are also displayed. Sheets on this dashboard include Open Releases, Late Releases, and All Releases. The advanced search contains filters for customer ID, customer name, order number, PO, part number, and quote number.

The GL Transaction Detail Tracker displays general ledger transaction information. It is available by right clicking from transaction-related fields (invoice number, transaction number, Back Account ID). It contains details such as account context, debit, credit, currency, transaction number, fiscal year, journal, job information, and so on.
